The City of Albuquerque Parks and Recreation Dept. is seeking applicants for a contractor to lead a bike/pedestrian safety education program and spear head our Safe Routes to School program. This is a one year contract with the possibility to renew if funding is available and has a cap of $35,000 per year. Unfortunately this is a NON-benefit job and the contractor must carry a million dollar liability policy that usually runs approx. $500 per year. The program has been in existence since 1995. The contractor needs to be a self-starter, be able to work with a team, work a very irregular schedule, like youth and present to large groups 100 plus youth. The benefits to this job is a lot of autonomy, be able to work in an active outdoor setting, and you will have ability to have a hand in shaping our future multi modal commuters.
