[TheThinkTank] Proper way to dispose of dirty rags?

What is everyone's method of disposing rags that are just too infused with grease and other dangerous substances? We've been just more or less storing ours in fireproof containers but we really need a proper, environmentally safe, and hopefully not too costly method of disposal.
