Pedagogic tools on bike mechanics
Hi everyone,
Cyclo North-South is a community organization in Montréal, Quebec (Canada) that collects used bicycles in order to give access to a way of transportation for people with low income and/or marginalized, through local and international projects. In each projects, we try to reinforce bike mechanics skills of our partners and people receiving bicycles to make them more autonomous since the ressources (bike mechanics, incomes) are very limited especially in rural area. One of the issue of our partners in Africa and Latin America is that they don¹t have easily access to pedagogic tools on bike mechanics.
We are currently working on gathering what already exists (local and international) regarding pedagogic tools on bike mechanics (printed or other types) in order to either share those tools to our partners either adapt them so they can be used by youths and general public that is in Togo, Ghana, Haiti, Ecuador, etc. The objective is to provide a teaching tool that includes a guide on tools, tune-ups and repairs.
If you know or have access to any kind of learning tools and feel comfortable to share, please write to me at : katy@cyclonordsud.org
Thanks,

Can you give more detail about what you mean by pedagogic tools? Maybe some examples??

It could be any kind printed or other types : educational sheets, guides ready to be printed, training handbook
Basically, we need a guide that is adapted to our partners abroad which means it needs to be very visual and adapted to the fact that they do not have readily available internet access. It can¹t be an app or a complexe web plateforme or Youtube tutorials.
If such a thing doesn¹t exist (which I doubt) we could make it from internet based tools and tutorial but we don¹t want to reinvent the wheel :)
Thanks,

I know of the Pan-Latin Bicycle Vocabulary: https://www.lexicool.com/dictionary.asp?ID=ST4TN615380 https://www.lexicool.com/dictionary.asp?ID=ST4TN615380
It could be useful for people in countries that speak a romance language, which officially does include Togo, Haiti, and Ecuador. Not sure if the official language list actually corresponds to the language used by the people you're trying to help of course.
