- Rely on volunteers as opposed to employees during the economic crunch,
ironically lay offs will increase the volunteer pool.
2) Shift a larger percentage of your non-profit activities to for-profit
activities, aka "sell" more bikes as the demand for cheaper transportation
3) Grants are becoming increasingly competitive, so go after them now as
opposed to later.
4) Larger organizations [with endowments] may have enough in the bank to
ride it out, the smaller ones, like most of us, are going to have more
