Is your organization (or a network of groups in your city) considering volunteering to host an upcoming Bike!Bike! Conference? We would love to hear from you about your plans to host! Current and former organizers would be interested in checking in regarding your preparation, considerations, questions, and planning guidelines!
The decision of who will host is made collectively by those attending the conference each year, but this process can be a bit intimidating, confusing, and demanding on those offering to host. If we can get interested parties to check in in advance of the conference, we can make this process as clear and streamlined as possible, and sharing your interest in advance will also allow for attendees (or those unable to be with us this year) to ask you questions and get an idea of what your group and your city could offer as hosts.
If you are interested in chatting about the potential to host next year's conference, or the year after, send us a message!

A la comunidad de Bike!Bike! ¿Alguna de sus organizaciones (o red de grupos de su ciudad) se está considerando como anfitriona para la realización del siguiente Bike!Bike! ? Nos gustaría conocer acerca de sus planes para organizar la conferencia. A las y los organizadores actuales y a quienes les han precedido les interesa checar con ustedes asuntos al respecto de su preparación, consideraciones, preguntas y lineamientos de planeación. La decisión respecto a las y los anfitriones se toma de manera colectiva por quienes asisten cada año, pero este proceso puede ser un poco intimidante, confuso y demandante para quienes se postulan como anfitriones. Si podemos lograr que aquellxs interesadxs en ser sede puedan expresarlo con antelación, podremos tener claridad y coordinación en este proceso. Además, expresar su interés por adelantado permitirá también que las y los asistentes (e incluso aquellxs que no podrán acompañarnos este año) puedan hacerles preguntas y tener una idea de lo que su grupo y su ciudad pueden ofrecer como anfitriones. Si estás interesadx en platicar acerca del potencial anfitrión del próximo año, o del subsecuente, mándanos un mensaje! De antemano, gracias!

Nous aimerions avoir de vos nouvelles concernant vos plans pour l’accueil ! Les organisateurs actuels et anciens seraient intéressé(e)s pour faire le point avec vous au sujet de la préparation, des considérations diverses, des questions que vous avez, et des lignes directrices pour la planification ! La décision relative à qui accueillera est faite collectivement par les personnes participant à la conférence chaque année mais ce processus peut être intimidant, déroutant et exigeant pour ceux qui offrent d’accueillir. Si nous pouvons faire en sorte que les parties intéressées se manifestent en avance de la conférence nous pouvons, dans la mesure du possible, rendre ce processus plus clair et plus simple. De plus, le fait de partager en avance votre intérêt permettra aussi aux participants (ainsi qu’à ceux qui ne peuvent participer cette année) de pouvoir vous poser des questions et d’avoir une idée de ce que votre groupe et votre ville pourrait offrir en tant qu’hôte. Hello, we are making a video on how it is to cross streets in our city, Monterrey, Mexico. The idea is to compare different cities around the world on how it is to cross a street, this is to demonstrate that even thought we have excellent laws on hot to move around the city, the reality is far far from what it is written. So we are asking for inputs on how it is to cross a street in your cities. It can be a short video (-15-20s) on and intersection (with or without traffic lights) and can be recorded on a cellphone or a camera. We attach a video we record with a go pro attache to a bike helmet on a 720 resolution, and unfortunately we are not able to see the plates of the cab that yelled profanities to the woman crossing the street . It will be of great help to have the videos of your cities and use them on creating some conscience. Thanks in advance and so much fun to all of you going to B!B!
