Robert's Rules of Order

How many bike co-ops out there use Robert's Rules of Order or at least some form of that to run their meetings? It has been in our bylaws for a decade but we have not been using it and our meetings have suffered. We have one member who is questioning the value or even that there are successful organizations that use it effectively. If you have tried it and it did not work well, what has worked better? Hi Bike Community! Working Bikes is going to be out in full force at the upcoming Bike!Bike! in October. We are interested in putting together a panel discussion on local donation programs. Specially, we are hoping to have a conversation with other shops that have local donation models that differ from our own. At WB, we work directly with social service orgs, schools, community groups, and special events when coordinating our local donations. Tenemos justo lo que necesitas: ¡presenta un "PEDAL"! (perdón, aún no se ma ha ocurrido una buena traducción!) Para B!B! este año, Josh Bisker y yo volveremos a organizar un taller de mini presentaciones sobre colaboraciones, participación pública, diseño y acceso! Nos gustaría reunir de cinco a siete organizadorxs para presentar charlas de cinco a siete minutos sobre un proyecto interesante en el que han estado involucradxs este año. Youth Bike Programs and Insurance Policies

Hello All: We here at the Bike Library are very interested in getting a teen program started. We have identified five young adults that have been knocking on the door, and have agreed to help get a youth program off the ground. What insurance do you have? (We are with WestBend and they don't allow anyone under the age of 18 to volunteer). Do you have language that supports the youth program that you use for your insurance? Do you require background checks when working with minors? Any information you have on starting a teen bike program would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much, y'all. Bike! 2019 Tijuana.
