Bike to Work Week

Does anyone run any Bike-To-Work Week programs in their town? We are curious what other people are doing? Experience buying your own property for a community bike project

The Fort Collins Bike Co-op is considering starting a capital fundraising campaign to raise money toward the purchase of our own permanent location. Like many community shops we have bounced around every couple years trying to find inexpensive or free rent. Our present location is currently slated for development into student housing, so our days are numbered there. Moving and then reorganizing consumes alot of our volunteer bandwidth and makes it more difficult for our customers to find us. If your organization has run a fundraising campaign please share any advice and I'll put your name on a list to contact with more specific questions as we proceed. Durable Spray Bottles Do they Exist?

Hey All, Over the years I have purchased dozens of plastic spray bottles for Community Cycles, we use the for degreaser. I've found a variety of different models with small differences but the one thing they have in common is they suck. They tend to last 4-6 weeks and then become unfix-able garbage. Federal support for bicycling is in trouble, again. The U.S. House and Senate have released bills that would reverse 20 years of progress toward making bicycling safe and stress-free for all Americans. The current Senate transportation bill eliminates essential biking and walking programs. To improve the bill, we’re asking senators to vote for a bipartisan amendment that guarantees our local governments a voice in transportation decisions, allowing them to build bikeways and sidewalks that keep people safe. Take action today to help preserve the successful, cost-effective federal investment in biking. I'm a new start up, working on defining our 'earn-a-bike' program. We will require service hours and I would like to do some required bicycle safety training as part of the program. Wondering if anyone can help me know what safety training materials you may use, and if : Are there standardized training materials I can get my hands on? Resources to get booklets or handouts?
