The shop where I work we have a metal tin for soiled rags. Also, the print/art studio where I used to work used plastic bins through out the studio for chemical/oil soiled rags...don't just throw them away in the trash can with other garbage...be careful with any material that is soiled with grease or oil... Bike!Bike! 2013

Dear Think Tank, We know that many of you areplanning to attend Bike!Bike! 2013 in New Orleans October 3-6th this year. This is a call out to encourage people to register on the website www.BikeBike.org We are planning a comprehensive conference and we'd like as many of you to pre-register as possible. At this point the event is less than 2 months away and we can only guarantee housing (included in the conference!!!) if you register by September 10th at the latest. Please time some find in your schedule to register online soon if you plan on coming. It will help us greatly in our planning. Additionally, this is a call for workshop registration. There is an option on the website to register the workshop you'd like to present. Please help us by submitting any potential workshops soon. We're trying to avoid last minute "cramming" and want this event to be well organized and run smoothly. We've been hard at working putting together an exciting and diverse conference (with multiple dance parties!!!!) and all we need from you is some input. One-sided relationships aren't healthy! So be a pal, sign up today. If we keep going on like this we're going to have togo into relationship counseling and that's no fun for anybody. Thanks y'all. We hang them on the handlebars and fill them out with a Sharpie. When the bike is done and gone we clean the Sharpie off with 90% rubbing alcohol and a rag. This allows us to use one tag over and over and over. We've been using these tags for about 2 weeks now and it's been awesome. Communication between mechanics is much clearer and bikes are getting done faster. It's really helped orient Earn-A-Bike students to what needs to be done next on their bike. Anyway if you think it's a good idea feel free to adapt it to your shops needs. -- Ride On!
