hey all, i'm looking to get in touch with the person who wrote/published the "no boys allowed" zine which was passed out at bikebike in san francisco. it was part of one of the oppression and gender identity issues workshops. we're looking to start a women's night here at community cycles, and i'd like to scan my copy as a pdf and email it to potential volunteers, as well as make some copies to have in the shop... if you're on the list, or if you know the person who wrote it (her name escapes me), please get in touch with me off list... thanks! josh. community cycles boulder

Re-purposing parts

Manufacturers throw out, literally, tons of usable and un-usable bike parts that are considered obsolete or blemished. Since they have distributors / shops that buy and sell those parts, it makes little business sense to give them to a non-profit and potentially risk them being re-sold, warrantied a second time, or something else that might upset a paying distributor / shop. The question is, is there much risk if the parts are re-purposed (think Resource Revival) into things like Art. Attendance Tracking

Hi all, What are you all doing to track attendance at your programs? Currently each kid that walks through our door is assigned their own sign-in sheet and is asked to sign-in each day that they come in (see attached sign-in sheet). This past year or so it has been an ongoing challenge to get kids to sign-in each day. We have tried to explain the importance of the data, but often times kids simply forget! What are you all doing to more accurately track the kids that access your programs on a daily, monthly, yearly basis? I have been researching different online solutions or "cooler" ways to sign-in, but all options are way too pricy! Your ideas would certainly be a huge help!!!! Large bicycle donation of used bikes Needs home

Hello, This is Paul Slater, of the BicycleXchange (BXC). I received an email from someone whom wishes to donate approx 150 bikes some disassembled and mostly maintained. The bikeb are located on Sanibel Island (West Coast of Florida) coming out of storage units. I was wondering if there is a collective not yet added to the directory that may want the donation. We are just out of reach to get them however it could be rewarding because it is such an affluent area. It seems the public is using the current directory for contacts. I know a few small coops that im encouraging to join. Thank you and hope to hear back soon. I have requested pictures to see the stash...I will share them when i get 'em.
