En este correo les escribimos sobre ello y lxs invitamos a colaborar. ¿Qué es la equidad de viaje? La equidad de viaje es un ejercicio basado en apoyo mutuo, solidaridad y de co-aprendizaje dentro de Bike Bike en el cual se recauda fondos para que las personas y colectividades trabajando en proyectos comunitarios de bicicletas principalmente de América Latina puedan asistir al Bike Bike. Have you been working on an exciting project this year that you’d like to share at Bike!Bike!, but you don’t want to do a whole long workshop on it? WELL, we've got just the thing for you: present a PEDAL! At B!B! this year, Aida Mas Baghaie and I will be hosting a workshop full of bite-size presentations: *P*artnerships, *E*ngagement, *D*esign, and *A*ccess *L*ectures (PEDALs!). The plan is to gather five to seven organizers to present five-to-seven-minute talks about one innovative project they've been involved with this year. Whether you’re involved in lowering barriers to bike access, building creative infrastructure, collaborating with unexpected partners, or expanding your community of members, this is an opportunity to present your exciting work and learn about other rad initiatives. Hello All! My name is Judith Feist. I currently reside in Detroit, MI. During Bike!Bike! in LA this past year I had a few conversations about the possible collaborations that could take place with Bike workshops/coops and artists residencies. I had wanted to work on a database on locations of bike coops in conjunction with artists residencies. During the two presentations lead by Fabian this concept was rekindled and I wanted to actually begin work on this project. I think a first step would be to compile information on locations of different bicycle workshops/coops and then begin pairing them with residencies within a specific distance from those workshops/coops. SO, I am writing to ask you to simply reply to this email with contact information of the coop where you spend time/live. OR coops that you have visited/spent time elsewhere than where you currently reside. It would be greatly appreciated. Also, this is not going to be limited to one specific location. If you have any questions please let me know. This project is very much in it's infancy, but it's something I've been thinking about since I began my graduate studies four years ago and never put time in to it... A secondary thought would be if you are a maker/artists and have spent time at any residencies you enjoyed that information would be greatly appreciated as well. A huge thank you, in advance! Basic Bike Mechanics en Espanol

Hey folks, I work with a program that connects donated and repaired bikes to migrant farmworkers in and around the Vancouver area. We're sending out toolkits to some of the farms along with the bikes to see if we can make it more possible for workers to keep their bikes running, and I wanted to include some basic mechanical resources in Spanish. After looking through the archives here and finding a lot of broken links, I thought I'd send out another ask. There's a lot out there on the internets about riding safety and some super detailed mechanical guides, but ideally we're looking for a kind of punk, basic tools, DIY with-what-you've-got type of resource in Spanish. Anyone have any leads on anything like that? Would also love to hear from you if you're interested in helping produce something along those lines. The next step will be finding a way to store them all for easy access by size, which will translate into significant time savings.
